Eric's Rx Shoppe is now offering appointments for COVID-19 rapid PCR, PCR Multiplex, rapid Antigen testing and rapid Antigen Flu via a self-performed nasal swab.  Same day appointments may be available, but an appointment is required (no walk-ins).  Please DO NOT ENTER THE VACCINE CLINIC or PHARMACY if coming for your COVID-19 or Flu test - stay in your car and follow directions below.  You will receive your rapid Antigen or PCR results via email in approximately 60 minutes following the test.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION: 

If you need a test for travel, we strongly recommend a Rapid Test, as those are all done in house. They are not sent to a lab and we can guarantee your results within the specified time frame.

Eric's Rx Shoppe will report all results to the PA DOH via PA-NEDSS (Pennsylvania's version of the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System).  The email that you receive with your test results will have a QR code that links to results that are reported to the PA-NEDSS site.  No guarantees can be made that the documentation provided by Eric's Rx Shoppe is valid for travel or other purposes.  We recommend checking with the airline/country to see what specific test they may require.

Scheduling tests for multiple people:

If you want to schedule COVID-19 tests for a family member or a number of people coming in the same car, please make consecutive appointments and you may come together at the first designated appointment you have selected.  If no consecutive appointments are available, select the next closest appointment time and let us know who is here when you arrive.  We will bring all tests out together.  Please note that you may pay for all family members at the same time when booking multiple appointments.

 

The PCR, PCR MultiPlex and Antigen tests will be processed on site, so results will be available in approximately 60 minutes of testing. All 3 tests are lab quality and accepted for travel and reporting purposes.  Though a negative test is not a 100% guarantee that you do not have COVID-19, the PCR test is more reliable and more widely accepted for travel than Antigen tests.

For Any Rapid Tests...

You MUST pre-pay for your test via credit card when you register or in extreme circumstances you may pay cash (exact change only) at the time of the test. The test is non-refundable. We can not refund or cancel any appointments. If you are unable to make your test, we can reschedule or you can transfer to another person.

We do not bill commercial insurance for any Rapid Tests.  You may submit your receipt to your insurance company to possibly receive reimbursement; however, Eric's Rx Shoppe is not responsible if your insurance company does not reimburse you. We only can bill Medicare Part B for the COVID-19/Flu/RSV Multiplex test.

What to do when you arrive for your COVID-19 test (Rapid PCR, PCR MultiPlex or Antigen):

1. Please do not exit your vehicle or enter the Pharmacy or Vaccine clinic. 

2. Park in one of the designated COVID-19 testing parking spots on the right side of the shopping center where Eric's Rx Shoppe is (next to where Dunkin Donuts used to be).  ​We have designated spots set up with numbers. 

3. If none of the designated spots are available, park in another spot and call us at (215) 509-5599

4. Call (215) 509-5599 to let us know your name, the spot number that you are in, and color/make of your vehicle. 

5. Stay masked and have photo ID ready for review for everyone who is over 16 years old.  

6. We will come out to your car and walk you through the self testing process.

7. Please free up the parking spot when you have completed your test.  You do not need to wait for test results, as they will be emailed to you within 60 minutes.  If you do not receive an email within 3 hours, please text us at (215) 509-5599 so we can resend your results.

8. In the event of an emergency and you are unable to make it to your scheduled appointment, you may call us at (215) 509-5599 and reschedule within 7 days.  Please do not call the Pharmacy regarding COVID testing.
